Mary Joyce Villanueva succeeds Phebe Gamata Crismo as the agency’s chief executive

Deaconess Mary Joyce Villanueva from the Bulacan Philippines Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church has been elected to serve as the executive secretary of the Philippines Central Conference Board of Christian Education and Discipleship for the quadrennium 2025-2028, beginning on January 1, 2025.

Mary Joyce will step into the role vacated by Deaconess Phebe Gamata Crismo whose term ends today, after serving as executive secretary since 2013 and completing 20 years of service at BCED. Read more
